Juneteenth Ancestors and Futurists Tour @ Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center

Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday. A federal holiday since 2021, Juneteenth occurs on Friday, June 19, 2026. Future Town returns to the Fort Garland museum in support of their youth summer program. Local community members are also welcome to attend. Contact the Fort Garland Museum to visit. The Fort’s history and its exhibitions make this an ideal space for a US at 250 / CO at 150 Juneteenth celebration.
