what we do

We create live events, video series, board books NOT for babies, collaborating with everything from circus freaks, lowrider car clubs, comedians, mariachis, food battles, and truly anything that gets regular people to connect and have a say in the decisions, storytelling, and culture work of their community. We work with residents to take crucial, boring, heated, or otherwise challenging issues and make sure that they are as accessible and disarming and engaging as possible, for people who are least likely to show up and take part, so that they have a say in their own history, present, and future.

Since 2012 we’ve engaged 1,000,000 participants through our wildly innovative programs

We explore the power of creativity and how it interacts with civic life through our events and programs. Our artistic and civic approach begins with the idea that there are systemic reasons why certain art and certain residents have power. We do what we can to widen that circle, level the playing field, highlight creativity and have fun.

Our programs are developed alongside residents and artists who are experts on the issues impacting their community, creating fun ways for folks to get involved. When you work out at a gym, you want to see and feel results! It’s the same way when we exercise our civic health. Our work ensures that civic life is connected to people’s everyday lives, and we make it fun!

Since 2012 we’ve been so fortunate to be invited to work with dozens of community-based organizations, municipalities, artists, and institutions throughout our home state of Colorado, as well as across the country. If it makes sense for your community and for us, we’re down to collaborate!
