The poem and the photos from “we trust our wings” remind us that despite generations of injustice and inequity, everyday people have the power and creativity to transform the world. Culture and community teach crucial lessons for our young ones and exist outside of education systems. However, education systems often have many resources to support families of all cultural backgrounds and we hope you’ll utilize the services and resources provided by Denver Public Schools Family and Community Engagement and Multicultural Outreach. We are so thankful for their support and funding for this project!
